A relatively recent theory of leadership argues that the most effective leaders are servants of their people. Servant leadership is now in the vocabulary of enlightened leadership. It is a practical, altruistic philosophy that supports people who choose to serve first, and then lead, as a way of expanding service to individuals and organizations. The sense of civil community that it advocates and engenders can facilitate and smooth successful and principled change.

since they are non physical..
Relevant answer

Non-physical (virtual) banks resemble a lottery or casino; any technical supervision is, therefore, bound to (legal) quality insurance (maths) of risks, with respect to deposits, credits and interests. Participants in a lottery, for example, know by nature of the financial investment that their possibility to win is bound to a certain probability risk.

The Earth is not sustainable. Population growth and consumption habits are the main causes. Discussed are ways to change consumption but not how to reduce it. Limiting consumption is uncomfortable but possibly necessary.
Relevant answer
Answer
In my opinion, within the framework of a specific public policy, it is possible to direct economic development in a specific direction. Through a specific interventionist socio-economic policy, it is possible to direct the development of the economic system to obtain the character of a more sustainable economic development, taking into account more pro-environmental goals of sustainable development. The issue of changes in the level and structure of consumption, this is the issue of influencing the change in the purchasing habits of consumers and the lifestyle of citizens, etc. Among other things, it is, for example, influencing citizens through social campaigns to purchase pro-ecological products, food products produced from organically produced agricultural products products packed in biodegradable plastic substitutes so that they use electricity generated from renewable energy sources, so that they choose electromobile vehicles instead of those powered by internal combustion engines, etc. specific pro-ecological socio-economic policies. Thanks to the pro-environmental state intervention conducted in this way, in the future there will be changes in lifestyle and changes in the purchasing behavior of citizens. However, the scale of these pro-ecological economic reform processes and the scale of the pro-environmental intervention implemented by the state, including those allocated for the development of pro-ecological policies from the state finances, is still too small. Due to the still growing scale of environmental pollution, the still high level of greenhouse gas emissions, declining green areas, including forests, unfavorable changes in natural ecosystems, unfavorable climate changes and their effects, etc., it is necessary in the next few years to significantly increase the scale of the pro-environmental state intervention. However, for this to happen, it is necessary to increase the pro-environmental, general social awareness of citizens.

Dariusz Prokopowicz

The more we know about the role of government, the more clear is the deviation.
We all should have as a priority, discuss the main roles of government with family, children, and friends.
Like it or not, the government decides the biggest part of our lives. In almost every country and every regime. And if we don't know what to ask (or obligate them, if needed) to do, they decide it alone and freely, guided by their convenience, more than by people needs.
If we don´t know what they should be doing, how do we ask them to do the right things?
So, tell us: What´s the main role of government?
Relevant answer
Answer
The main role of government is to handle the State affairs. To facilitate public. Job education health for public, justice for all and much more.

The importance of public health governance has again emerged in the entire world and, especially developing countries because it is an integrated approach for the well-being of human health through both government and society approaches. How can make it more sustainable?

In my view, with the appearance of COVID-19, the importance of PREVENTION in countries focused on treatment, once again, become clear. Unfortunately, the attitude of most developing countries is treatment-oriented, and most of the budget, time, and education is spent on strengthening and promoting TREATMENT, and health care providers are isolated and not given enough attention. Perhaps only if public attention (governance and society) turns to health and prevention, will there be a possibility of overcoming this crisis.

Over the last years the role of non-state actors (NGOs, businesses, corporations, traditional authorities, rebel groups, communities, street gangs, etc.) in the provision of services and the production of social order has grasped the attention of scholars from different fields such as development, security, and peace and conflict studies. In these debates, the concept of governance has been central as it allows to convey the idea that order–making is the result of the interaction of different state and non-state actors. However, when talking about the relations and the twiligh character of the interaction between state/non-state, formal/informal, legal/illegal actors a lot of theoretical ambiguity remains. In this regard, I would like to ask what do you think that the difference between the terms 'hybrid governance' and 'alternative governance' is. In general, both terms are used to designate arrangements in which non-state actors take on functions classically attributed to the state. However, I've seen the concept of 'alternative governance' more often in works that analyze the role of illegal/criminal actors (e.g. Cheng, 2018 or Idler, 2019), while the one of 'hybrid governance' has been used to designated both legal and illegal actors.
Relevant answer
Answer
In the United States both systems are present, but not acknowledged officially. Hybrid governance is usually practiced by lobbyists from special interest groups that attempt to influence legislation at the state or federal level. Sometimes the lobbyists even go so far as to write the legislation they want. K street in Washington is infamous for this. There is a very thin line between lobbying and bribery. Alternative government is practiced by street gangs in some of the larger cities. They exact "street tax" from merchants to operate in their neighborhoods. Law enforcement fights this type of crime, but is not always totally effective especially when law enforcement is not being backed up by municipal government or prosecutors.

I am approaching your question from the side of the cloud. Cloud computing is an IT infrastructure that requires both IT governance and IT management because of its importance to a business. A systematic approach to this is provided by the models of COBIT 2019, the leading framework for IT governance and IT management. COBIT 2019 primarily maps the necessary processes that a company must implement in order to use cloud technology effectively and efficiently in your case. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "strategic management system". COBIT 2019 includes a systemic approach and offers a system model for IT governance and IT management. If you are also targeting Management Information System (MIS), COBIT offers a cascading target system with sample metrics that can be used as the basis for an MIS. COBIT 2019 is suitable for adapting the overall model according to the situation, i.e. also for small companies or start-ups. In this respect, I would advise you to examine the COBIT framework for your purposes.

Obviously, real democracy is possible only when each voter has enough intellectual power and knowledge. It would be great to have something like exams for driver or shooter licence - "voter licence" - basic questions from history, logic, fundamentals of natural sciences (school level). Otherwise, it is not democracy, it is ochlocracy: TV stars, sportsmen, populists, etc. (of course, paid by serious persons - oligarchs, who will get real power) to be elected.

As inequality involves substantial economic, social and political costs. The crucial issue of how to measure inequality has been a major challenge. When redistributive policy was in full swing in Scandinavia during former decades,, inequality was there the least among Western countries. Now the situation in Scandinavia is changing to more inequality, as redistribution is less. If I am not correct, please, reply with statistics.
In Central and Eastern Europe now is the situation like this - where redistribution is lower, the inequality is larger, for example, in Lithuania, where redistribution is about 30 percent to GDP, the difference between highest income and lowest income deciles is 7 times - more than in many OECD countries.

Mining plays a significant role in regional development. It also generates great amounts of waste -- some of which contains toxic chemicals and heavy elements. Yet, additional mining-related pollution does not consist in ores and chemicals.
What are some economic opportunities surrounding the creation of mining waste? Why are they so valuable? For whom?
Furthermore, what knowledge do experts endeavor to produce around negative environmental impacts? Does this knowledge production aim to incentivize companies (or governments) to engage in clean-up efforts or more sustainable mining practices?
Finally, when companies interact with such knowledge, and when experts work to produce it, how do other consequences (e.g., noise pollution) receive attention?
Relevant answer
Answer
Good question Mateo S. Pimentel
The (re)use of mining waste seem to be an important issue worldwide.
But it has a very local meaning.
From my point of view (civil engineer, academician working as consultant for industry) it is mainly the opportunity to use large amounts of crushed rock (spoil material from the mines) for large infrastructural projects: roads, railways, flood protection systems - dams). We may enumerate following issues:
1. Suitability of the rock (minerals) in therms of its strength and "cleanness".
2. Availability in the right place and at the optimal moment of time.
3. Cost of transport and storing.
4. Environmental cost of preparing for implementation (crushing, sorting, forming of the fill).
The problem is: "How desperate is the mining company to get rid of the spoil material" and "How much the client (usually public) is flexible concerning the use of waste material for construction.
I do not know much about the first dilemma, however all the environmental precautions seem to be crucial for continuing of mining production at least in EU countries (like Poland). The second problem I observed on many building sites where even concrete debris was not accepted for granular fills due to its irregularity. I guess in every country you may find other limitations.

Some authors use both terms when they speak of the new phase of e-Government, placing the emphasis on the role of citizens. Others seem to differentiate Digital Governance from E-governance.
Relevant answer
Answer
There is a difference: it is historical (not histerical :).
e-governance (often related or even equated with e-Government) has emerged around or before the turn of the Millenium - while Digital Governance is somewhat more recent (and got a new lease on life a few years ago with the emergence of the buzzword digital transformation). In this later context digital governance has a bit different use.

I want to understand the effect of partisan politics and decamping on the governance and insecurity in Nigeria.
Relevant answer
Answer
Partisan politics has increased the rate of insecurity in the country. Many of the politicians capitalized on the ethnic and religious divide in the country to gain or perpetuate themselves in power. They also encourage this ember when they lost out of power. Cross carpeting is not new in Nigeria. It started since the first republic when some members of NCNC cross carpet to AG to have way for her victory in the parliament. The situation is worst in the present republic. I t has become a normal part of our political culture. The major reason for these is the lack of ideology by all the political parties in Nigeria. It made it easy for politicians to move from one party to the other. The implication is that it sustained the same set of elements in the art of governance.

Rej Kasi feel free to check my bachlor thesis on RG. I made a relatively comprehensive analysis of the economic conceptions rooted in the process of codifying European treaties. Even if the work is in French and applies mainly to Western and Southern Europe, the fundamentals are present. For information purposes, the work corresponds quite amply to the traditional requirements of a Bachelor thesis so it can serve as a structuring framework. To go even further in different forms of capitalism and work in European political economy, I recommend the work of Bruno Amable (2017) and Stafano Palombarini.

What are the technical differences between governance and institutions?
Relevant answer
Answer
There are many definitions of governance but all have to do with the processes of interaction—be they undertaken by, say, hierarchies, markets, or networks—through which control is effected over a social system: this usually has to do with who has power, who makes decisions, how other players make their voices heard, and how account is rendered. (And so, emphasis is usually ascribed to transparency, accountability, and participation.) It is the processes of interaction and what governs them that leads to the creation, reinforcement, reproduction, alteration, etc. of social norms and institutions, which may well be formal organizations. The issue of corporate governance is very important and directly affects the efficiency of the entity's operation, the relationships between the recruiters employed at various levels of the organization and indirectly also on the relations between business entities and contractors and clients. Corporate governance is therefore particularly important in terms of the long-term development of an economic entity, also in terms of its successes in the competitive game and the holding of specific positions and shares in the markets of the sold product or service offer.
In my opinion, most parameters in the area of corporate governance research in enterprises, companies, corporations and financial institutions are the same but not all. The same are those that relate to the issues of analogous models used, concepts of managing the entire organization, personnel management, offer, marketing, innovation, relations with contractors, shareholders, clients, etc. In contrast, differences arise in terms of specific differences regarding accounting, specificity business activity, risk analysis, prudential procedures used, IT technologies that support the operation of individual departments and departments, the specificity of the work positions of the staff employed, etc.

In short: China invests in infrastructure - and countries cannot pay back the loans. The property, or a 99 year right, then goes to China. This happened in Sri Lanka (a whole harbour is now Chinese), and is likely to happen in African countries. China is not in TG, but in getting critical infrastructure, and that has an impact on TG. And China makes long term investments - and waits for 10-20 years. It would be interesting to check out the details of the loan documents. regards

With highest considerations for your help,
Besnik
Relevant answer
Answer
Much depends on the nature of the decision, in light of which actors can engage in different types of thinking. "Everyday" decision-making requires little competence and can be accomplished in "default" mode: in such cases, people have a strong tendency to stick with the tried and tested (or trusted). More complex decision-making—to be defined, of course, but recognizing that everything is relative—may call for more analysis and deliberation and even a good deal of mental effort; supposing there is an optimal strategy, which is not necessarily the case, this is where bounded rationality, cognitive bias, personality, and free will come in (and tools for debiasing are relevant). Most importantly, the process of decision-making is impacted by the number of people associated with it; these days, complex decision-making tasks demands teamwork (and can fall prey to the vagaries of that). Not to forget, since this query relates to the public sector, hierarchy does weigh in and not every decision maker is equal. may be of interest.

Most currently available indicators capture education contexts, inputs, outputs and outcomes, for example OECD’s indicators published in Education at a Glance (EAG) or the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) publication series. However, relatively little attention has been paid to developing indicators to help guide improvements in education governance, that is, how policy and reform processes are best realised.
The Strategic Education Governance (SEG) project aims to complement these existing indicators by developing a policy tool comprising a set of governance indicators to help countries promote effective governance processes. The indicators are meant to directly guide efforts to improve governance processes, providing policy makers with a tool to focus attention on the processes that support strategic education governance.
As the first of six areas for which we will develop indicators, we would like to approach the domain of Knowledge Governance. For this we are looking for experts in this area to work with to help us firm up our thinking and develop a first set of indicators.

If Milton is right, does government uses inflation? why? what way? and above it all, does he do it even knowing that inflation is the worst effect and the most difficult problem that the population would need to face?
Relevant answer
Answer
  1. Discuss the government’s role in managing the economy.
In every country, the government takes steps to help the economy achieve the goals of growth, full employment, and price stability. In the United States, the government influences economic activity through two approaches: monetary policy and fiscal policy. Through monetary policy, the government exerts its power to regulate the money supply and level of interest rates. Through fiscal policy, it uses its power to tax and to spend.
Monetary Policy
Monetary policy is exercised by the Federal Reserve System (“the Fed”), which is empowered to take various actions that decrease or increase the money supply and raise or lower short-term interest rates, making it harder or easier to borrow money. When the Fed believes that inflation is a problem, it will use contractionary policy to decrease the money supply and raise interest rates. When rates are higher, borrowers have to pay more for the money they borrow, and banks are more selective in making loans. Because money is “tighter”—more expensive to borrow—demand for goods and services will go down, and so will prices. In any case, that’s the theory.
Fiscal Policy
Fiscal policy relies on the government’s powers of spending and taxation. Both taxation and government spending can be used to reduce or increase the total supply of money in the economy—the total amount, in other words, that businesses and consumers have to spend. When the country is in a recession, the appropriate policy is to increase spending, reduce taxes, or both. Such expansionary actions will put more money in the hands of businesses and consumers, encouraging businesses to expand and consumers to buy more goods and services. When the economy is experiencing inflation, the opposite policy is adopted: the government will decrease spending or increase taxes, or both. Because such contractionary measures reduce spending by businesses and consumers, prices come down and inflation eases.
The National Debt
If, in any given year, the government takes in more money (through taxes) than it spends on goods and services (for things such as defense, transportation, and social services), the result is a budget surplus.
Macroeconomics and Microeconomics
In the preceding discussion, we’ve touched on two main areas in the field of economics: (1) macroeconomics, or the study of the economy as a whole, and (2) microeconomics, or the study of the economic choices made by individual consumers or businesses. Macroeconomics examines the economy-wide effect of inflation, while microeconomics considers such decisions as the price you’re willing to pay to go to college. Macroeconomics investigates overall trends in imports and exports, while microeconomics explains the price that teenagers are willing to pay for concert tickets.
Methods to Control Inflation
Inflation is generally controlled by the Central Bank and/or the government. The main policy tools to control inflation include:
  1. Monetary policy – Setting interest rates. Higher interest rates reduce demand, leading to lower economic growth and lower inflation
  2. Control of money supply – Monetarists argue there is a close link between the money supply and inflation, therefore controlling money supply can control inflation.
  3. Supply side policies – policies to increase competitiveness and efficiency of the economy, putting downward pressure on long-term costs.
  4. Fiscal policy – a higher rate of income tax could reduce spending and inflationary pressures.
  5. Wage controls. Trying to control wages could, in theory, help to reduce inflationary pressures. However, apart from the 1970s, rarely used.

Relevant answer
Answer
In beide gevallen contraproductief.

We have a plasma chamber where the transparent cathode fed very high negative voltage (nearly 10kV ) then the ion from the plasma tend to oscillate in that negative potential well. So, depending on what theory will those ion oscillate in that well?
Relevant answer
Answer
Almost by definition, an ion will oscillate in a potential well if its total energy is less than the depth of the well (the potential energy reguired to escape to infinity).
In the case of a plasma experiment, the main challenge is characterizing (and controlling) the electrostatic potential profile that a single ion would experience. In general, the space-charge in the plasma will tend to rearrange itself to modify the vacuum electrostatic potential in some manner specific to the discharge. This falls under the genral topic of plasma sheaths. Sheaths are complicated.
If the spatial distribution of the electrostatic potential V(x,y,z) is known, the trajectory of an ion can be calculated from F = m*a.
For example, a mass on a spring can be thought of as a particle in a parabolic well, and x(t) will of course be sinosoidal. For a generic V(x), the ion trajectories will be solutions to the differential equation F=-e*grad(V(x))=m*d^2(x)/dt^2.
