MOOC is an innovative method in modern education, particularly important for sharing of excellent educational resources worldwide. To realize the full potential of MOOC, we need to understand the factors influencing MOOC success. In this study a theoretical framework has been proposed by integrating a self-regulated learning theory and DeLone and M...
Aim/Purpose The main objective of this study is to explore students' beliefs with regard to social media use (SMU) in higher education and the consequences of such use on the perception of their academic performance. Additionally, the study aims to determine the major influential factors with regard to SMU in student learning settings as a means of...
The objective of this study is to develop and validate the MOOC Success Scale (MOOC-SS) in the Malaysian context. Further, this study ascertains the influence of MOOC success factors on learner satisfaction. Based on an elaborate literature study, six factors related to MOOC success were derived: (1) system quality, (2) information quality, (3) ser...
As a crucial factor that affects the learning performance in MOOC, self-regulated learning (SRL) has elicited considerable interest. Self-regulated learners can manage their learning activities efficiently, however, researchers indicate that MOOC learners do not adequately self-regulate their learning. Thus, providing support to facilitate self-reg...
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) is a new phenomenon in online learning that has aroused increasing interest by researchers as a significant contribution to improving educational system quality and openness. The purpose of this paper is to compile and analyze MOOC research that has been published between 2012 and 2016. A systematic analysis techn...
The main purpose of the current research was to explore the relationships between beliefs/knowledge and technology integration (TI) during teaching practice (i.e., placement or practicum) among Indonesian pre-service teachers. Five core variables of the theory of planned behavior or TPB (subjective norms, attitudes, perceived behavioral control, be...
Evaluating the learning outcomes of a certain course implementation can improve the quality of education. This study is focused on Indonesian EFL undergraduates' perceptions of the relationships between teacher performance, technological resources, online project-based learning (OPJBL), and ESP learning outcomes. Participants of the study have atte...
This study aims to provide an empirical report to understand the key predictors of Teachers’ Social Media Use during Corona Virus Disease 2019 (TSMU Covid-19). A survey instrument adapted from the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) was established and validated. The instrument consisted of two sections. Section one collected...
The current study uses the technology acceptance model to understand the drivers affecting Indonesian pre-service teachers’ intention to use m-learning. Eleven hypotheses were proposed within seven variables; self-efficacy, subjective norms, facilitating conditions, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitudes, and intention to use m-lear...
his study seeks to investigate the factors that influence online students’ continued usage intention toward e-learning systems by presenting an extended model
that is based on the Delone and McLean (2003) IS success model (D&M ISS
model).
The present paper aims at investigating the relationship between students’ attitudes toward online homework use and mathematics anxiety among secondary school students. In this study, a model has been proposed by integrating the technology acceptance model (TAM) with mathematics anxiety theory. Three hundred and forty-five secondary school students...
The purpose of this study is to explore the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) perceived by the learners regarding the acceptance of MOOCs in Malaysian universities. Quantitative research method was used and the descriptive data related to satisfaction, perceived service quality, and attitude toward the use of MOOCs were colle...
In higher education learning, e-learning systems have become renowned tools worldwide. The evident importance of e-learning in higher education has resulted in a prenominal increase in the number of e-learning systems delivering various forms of services, especially when traditional education (face-to-face) was suddenly forced to move online due to...
Literature emphasized the importance of quality antecedents on the successful implementation of MOOCs.
However, rare studies are available on how to examine the quality antecedents in the MOOC context. Thus,
the objective of this study is to assess the impact of quality antecedents on satisfaction toward MOOC. This
study is mainly quantitative, ado...
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the adoption of web-based homework on mathematics self-efficacy level among secondary school students through using a mathematics web-based homework package called MyiMaths. In this study, a theoretical framework has been proposed by integrating the Technology acceptance model (TAM) with the...

This chapter explores the implementation of MOOC in the Malaysian higher education system. Using the SWOT analysis, we examine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of Malaysian MOOC implementation based on the existing literature. The chapter first provides an overview of MOOC in the Malaysian higher education system context, follo...
The purpose of this study is to analyze and synthesize the recent research related to nationwide MOOC initiatives in Malaysian higher education that have been published from 2014 to 2018 in order to gain an overview of the growth of MOOC in Malaysia and to identify the issues facing implementation of nationwide MOOC initiatives in the Malaysian hig...
The importance of self-regulation in a MOOC has been extensively discussed in research studies that provide
evidence about the significant relationship between self-regulated learning and success in an e-learning
environment. Learners with high self-regulated learning are more independent in regulating their learning
and have a greater probability...
Online homework systems that grade assignments and provide instant feedback have gained acceptance in the mathematics education field. This study employed a qualitative method, using interview protocol to collect data from 25 secondary school students. Coding the interview revealed four main categories related to students' attitudes toward online h...
The purposes of this study were twofold: 1) to examine the influence of performance expectancy, and effort expectancy on secondary school students attitudes toward the use of a mathematics online homework package called MyiMaths; and 2) to predict the factor that best influences their attitudes. A 15 item, five-point Likert-scale instrument was adm...
