Millions of individuals rely on urban transportation every day to travel inside cities. However, it is not clear how route parameters (e.g., traffic conditions, waiting times) influence users when selecting a particular route option for their trips. These parameters play an important role in route recommendation systems, and most of the currently a...
This work presents an analysis between two approaches for inferring trust in social networks: TidalTrust and T-SWEETS. The first part of this research is composed by an experiment with the Epinions, Slashdot and Wikipedia datasets in order to define the most suitable type of trust value (integer or fractioned, positive or negative, and so on). Furt...
The growing of cities has resulted in innumerable technical and managerial challenges for public administrators such as energy consumption, pollution, urban mobility and even supervision of private and public spaces in an appropriate way. Urban Computing emerges as a promising paradigm to solve such challenges, through the extraction of knowledge,...
Virtual Machines (VMs) offer great flexibility, re-usability, and portability to manage applications in physical resources of a Cloud data center or a mobile cloud. These VMs may suffer a migration from one datacenter to another or from one cloudlet to another, due to the characteristics of vehicular cloud, such as high mobility and the need to mee...
Sensor networks, connected vehicles and mobile devices are currently used as data collectors in urban environments, data which can be used to better understand the cities’ dynamics. Specifically, the study of data-driven solutions to understand the behavior of cities and propose services to enhance the experiences of the citizens in their everyday...
An increasing number of users have been adopting route recommendation systems, mostly motivated by the convenience that those systems bring to their traffic experiences. Usually, those systems observe the historical and current traffic conditions in order to evaluate and recommend the fastest routes. However, besides mobility aspects, more contextu...
Smart cities emerge in computer science as a topic to cover how the technology of information and communication can be used in the urban centers to monitor its dynamics and allow the improvement of services for the citizens. In these urban centers, different methodologies are used in order to collect data and provide them to applications. These dat...
An increasing number of users have been adopting route recommendation systems, many of them motivated by the convenience that these systems bring to their traffic experiences. These systems observe the current traffic conditions in order to evaluate the fastest path. However, contextual information, such as pollution levels, weather conditions and...
Staying up to date with an individual's interests is a daunting task. An unstoppable number of growing online resources such as websites, blogs and news portals are providing information on various subjects and topics and it is provoking certain difficulties on individuals to identify the best resources or providers in order to trust and follow the...
This paper presents the T-SWEETS algorithm, a novel approach for inferring trust in social networks and its deployment in a social network knowledge- based management platform, titled Konnen (Knowledge Organization in a Native Network ENvironment). An objective of trust inference is to recommend trust relationships. The features of T-SWEETS come fr...
This paper presents a novel method to infer trustiness in social networks entitled T-SWEETS. It is also presents its application at Konnen, a knowledge management platform on social networks based. The features explored in T-SWEETS come from research done on related works from the literature and from an experiment development with a group of 34 peo...

I am building an analysis tool and would like to see how it behaves with real world data. Also another traces like car GPS, or even checking data, like when you use a bus card to pay for a ride might help.
I am already looking forward to use twitter data, collected from the geolocated tweets.
