How does Wiley’s expanded partnership with ResearchGate benefit authors? Wiley began partnering with us in 2021, supporting authors and readers by making their journals and content available through our platform. Since then, Wiley has expanded their partnership to include 649 journals, with 519 of these journals benefiting from an enhanced presence on ResearchGate through our unique Journal Home offering. We recently caught up with Wiley’s Director of Digital Marketing, Sarah Garfunkel, to hear how Wiley’s partnership with ResearchGate is benefiting Wiley’s readers and authors. In a new blog, she describes how the partnership with ResearchGate has boosted the visibility and accessibility of their author’s research, increased access for readers of both their open access and subscription articles, and helped to remove some of the friction authors had previously experienced when sharing their work. The blog also includes the results of a joint survey with readers and authors that found 87% of readers agreed that the pilot improved their experience on the ResearchGate platform, and 91% of authors said they would be more likely to submit to a journal if they knew their article would be automatically shared on ResearchGate. Find out more insights on the benefits Wiley has experienced since partnering with ResearchGate in the first of a series of blogs in partnership with Wiley. Today, we are proud to announce our new partnership with American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world's largest multidisciplinary scientific society and a leading publisher of cutting-edge research. This partnership will see enhanced visibility and reach for all AAAS Science Partner Journals through ResearchGate's innovative new Journal Home offering. The Science Partner Journal (SPJ) program consists of 14 fully #OpenAccess journals developed in partnership with leading international #research institutions, foundations, funders, and societies. The SPJs will now further expand their reach through Journal Home with all full text version-of-record articles from the 14 SPJs being made readily available to #researchers through ResearchGate – including all archive material and all newly published articles being made available at the point of publication. Dedicated journal profiles will also be activated for all SPJ journals on ResearchGate and will be accessible in the network through all related articles from the journals, as well as all other relevant touchpoints on the platform – making these journals more discoverable and accessible to authors and readers than ever before. Through the journal profiles, researchers have a central location on ResearchGate where they can learn more about these journals, discover new relevant article content, and understand how they are connected to the journal's community of authors and editors through their own network of co-authors, peers and colleagues. Additionally, #authors who publish articles in the SPJs will enjoy the added benefit of having their content automatically added to their profiles on ResearchGate, instantly sharing it with their network and providing the authors with valuable statistics that highlight the impact of their work. This feature creates a unique opportunity for authors to engage and connect with their readers. This is a bold step in making the important and impactful AAAS Science Partner Journals even more widely available to the global audience of highly relevant readers and authors on ResearchGate.
