ABOUT MILWAUKEE
In 2018, with the support of our anchor sponsor, Dohmen Company Foundation, we launched i.c.stars in the Milwaukee market and it has been thriving ever since! Our partnerships help us provide impact beyond our doors including employers who are seeking diverse and resilient talent such as Children’s Wisconsin, Northwestern Mutual, and von Briesen & Roper, s.c.. We have received media coverage and multiple features in the Milwaukee Business Journal, Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service, NPR, and Business Times. We are supported by our all star Advisory Board which includes executives from Wells Fargo, ManpowerGroup, Dohmen, Northwestern Mutual, Navistar, Milwaukee County, Sargento, Inc., von Briesen & Roper, s.c., and others.
OUR SUCCESS
In Milwaukee, i.c.stars is supported by a partner ecosystem that provides mentors, volunteers for career readiness workshops and activities, workshop presenters, High Tea guests, and employment partnerships. When finding talent for our next cohort, our Milwaukee community partners include Owen’s Place, Maximus, Wraparound, Goodwill Industries Workforce Center, SaintA, Ross Innovative Employment Solutions, and Milwaukee Public Schools.

Learning all of the concepts necessary and how to implement them is definitely challenging, but fun at the same time. A huge challenge that we conquered.
When I first heard about i.c.stars, I was skeptical… But…I quickly realized that this was the real deal. This was the second chance in life that I was looking for. I found my passion to learn again and…was prepared to ultimately become a Solutions Architect at my current workplace.

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
