WE ARE accepting NEW TRIBAL MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS!
FAq - TRIBAL MEMBERSHIP
Membership of the Duwamish Tribe is based on descendancy only, not blood quantum. The Duwamish Tribe has over 800 enrolled tribal members. A application for membership can be obtained by emailing the Membership Department at membership@duwamishtribe.org.
Your application after submittal will be held in a pending file for adoption at the next year's annual meeting (usually held in late May or early June). You MUST be present at the Duwamish Annual Meeting to have your membership formally approved by the entire body of the Tribe. The exception being that you submit a letter of hardship ie. lack of transportation, illness or great distance etc. to The Membership Department, at membership@duwamishtribe.org at least 2 weeks prior to the date of the scheduled annual meeting.
FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Duwamish subcontract with STOWW (Small Tribes of Western Washington) for an Emergency Food Assistance Program under the Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development. Tribal food vouchers range anywhere from $25 top $55 depending on family size and income (poverty guidelines by percentages apply). Please contact Membership Department at membership@duwamishtribe.org for a food application if you are in need of food for your family. The vouchers are usable at all participating WINCO Stores.
DUWAMISH TRIBAL MEMBERS CAN ACCESS MORE INFORMATION ABOUT TRIBAL SERVICES IN THE DUWAMISH MEMBERS LOGIN AREA. Call or email the Longhouse for your access code. Must be a registered Duwamish Tribe member to access this portion of the site.

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
