We are thrilled to announce that our "Linked by Love" campaign with Cartier has won Best Luxury Campaign and the Grand Prix, at the World Media Group Awards in London! The campaign's success was driven by its beautiful execution, which resonated with the judges on a deeply emotional level. Built on strong consumer insights, the work impressed with its innovative, full-funnel approach enhanced by machine learning algorithms, alongside the remarkable effort of sourcing 100 unique love stories. The judges particularly commended the native branded distribution and strategic partnership between Cartier and The New York Times. This campaign was a true collaboration, and we want to extend a special thanks to our key partner, WPP Media for helping it come to life. In addition to our top honors, our work with UBS was recognized with an Honorable Mention in the Financial Services category!

I'm incredibly proud to share a major launch from the Wirecutter Experience team! Under the fantastic Product leadership of Molly Farrar, we've officially kicked off a test for a new Generative AI powered search feature that integrates our product recommendations directly into the search results themselves. This has been a long-requested feature by both our readers and internal teams, and it's a huge step toward making our site more helpful and intuitive. The work that went into this was truly impressive. The team built and designed two different versions that we're now testing to see what our readers love most (see our carousel version in the video). They also developed a complex process to accurately match product names from our summaries to their specific citations, ensuring the callout information is always correct. Plus, they completely updated the design of our search results page to improve the overall user experience. This project was a true team effort, and it couldn't have happened without the dedication of so many talented people. I’d like to single out a few of the leaders on the initiative in addition to Molly: Nazanin Hesamzadeh and Polina Grinbaum, our engineering leads; and Olivia Sheldon, who made the incredible designs. You may have noticed a trend here – yes, the Product, Product Design and Engineering leads are all women. (Women only compromise 22% of AI talent globally so I think this is notable!) Other people to recognize from the core team: Jasmine Kasheboon Khoury, Mel Blanco, Jason Boyle, Jacob Baker and Ariel Seltzer. Thanks, too, to Bailey Evans, Stephen Carrey-Chan, Tabitha Rodrigue, Jason Chen, Jennifer Smith, Serena Wong, Natasha Krasnov and Clifford Levy for their guidance, as well as Joshua Brewer and Jose Monagas for their testing support. OK, enough talking about the experience and team. Please try it out (if you’re not in the control group) on Wirecutter and let us know what you think!

"Who did my Wordle?!" Sound familiar? Then I'm excited to share that The New York Times has launched family subscription — a new way to enjoy our products together while keeping each experience personal. With one plan, up to four people can access Games (yes, Pips included!), Cooking, podcasts, and our journalism; each with their own stats, streaks, and archives. Our puzzles have always been a source of joy and connection: parents solving the Spelling Bee with kids during their morning commutes, friends competing over daily streaks, grandparents bonding with their grandchildren over Wordle scores. With family subscription, these everyday moments of connection just got even easier! This launch is an exciting milestone for New York Times Games, expanding shared play and connection for so many. Huge thanks and congratulations to the teams who made it possible. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gX6jzcbs.

The New York Times is rolling out a new brand campaign themed “It’s Your World to Understand.” It’s the first work for the media brand by Isle of Any, the indie agency startup founded by a creative pair who led acclaimed campaigns for the Times while at Droga5 over the past decade. “It’s Your World to Understand” launches with a 60-second spot that aims to illustrate how Times journalism helps people engage with the things that matter most to them and helps them better understand the world. The goal is to get viewers to lean in and get a taste of the kind of personal relationship many Times subscribers say they have with the product. “We were really inspired when we talked to our most engaged subscribers about how they use the Times,” said Amy Weisenbach, the company’s chief marketing officer. “They talked about how Times journalism shows up throughout their day, throughout their year, throughout their life. We liked the idea of bringing to life that personal value and relevance for a broader audience that may not understand or have awareness of our full offering.” 📲 Read about the full campaign: https://lnkd.in/gTpwpeSC
