L’Oréal Groupe

For those not attuned to its immense impact on our world, beauty is often dismissed as superficial.
L’Oréal Groupe launched a first-of-its-kind campaign to help change that. Driven by the insight that beauty influences everything, from the Olympics to political campaigns, T Brand Studio International set out to show the serious role that beauty plays across society at large.
The centerpiece of L’Oréal Groupe's campaign was "This Is Not a Beauty Podcast," a six-episode series, produced with T Brand Studio and inspired by the audio journalism of The New York Times. Hosted by Oscar-nominated actress Isabella Rossellini, each 30-minute episode discussed beauty's hidden influence. The guiding principle of the program was to engage new audiences — particularly those outside the traditional beauty dialogue, such as business leaders, policymakers and men.
In the Sports episode, Olympic gold medalist sprinter Noah Lyles discussed how his bold style enhances his performance. For the Politics episode, Michelle Obama’s makeup artist, Carl Ray, shared how beauty helps political figures connect with audiences. Stories made beauty a lens — never the sole subject — while mentions of L'Oréal Groupe were subtle, to retain authenticity and listener trust.

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
