This one-week camp will offer an introduction to the guitar and basic musical concepts. Based on the principals of Suzuki music education, students will learn how to play by ear. The final day of camp will feature a concert for the parents to enjoy. Daily parental participation is encouraged but not required. Instruments are provided for use in class.

Have you ever tried Caribbean folk dancing? You can do it at Strings Camp this summer! Along with the study of the Suzuki and traditional string repertoire, we will celebrate the rich culture and music of the Caribbean. Campers will cycle through dance, art and music classes in the morning and participate in fun lunchtime activities at noon. On Friday, we will perform for our family and friends. No experience necessary. Includes instruction for violin, viola and cello. Inexpensive instrument rental options available.
Tuition: $235 | Dates: M-F, July 9-13 | Times: 9:00 am-1:00 pm | Ages 6-12 years | Instructors: Nancy McNeill, Kat Fritz, other special guest instructors Specially designed for younger players that have never played the violin. Experience the joy of making music with your friends. We will sing, dance, explore rhythm and pitch… and play the violin! Developmentally appropriate activities provide a solid foundation for a budding musician. At noon, we will join the “big kids” camp for fun lunchtime activities. Violins and materials included in tuition.
Tuition: $100 | Dates; M-F, July 9-13 | Time: 11:00 pm -1:00 pm | Ages: 3-5 years (with parent or caregiver) | Instructors: Kat Fritz, Nancy McNeill Ever wondered what the difference is between a trumpet and a tuba? Which is larger, the violin or the viola? At Meet the Instruments Camp, campers will learn about brass, percussion, woodwind & stringed instruments through exciting hands on activities. We will also explore the connection between music and visual art through creative play. Each day will include a short performance of each of the featured instruments by visiting guest faculty and other special guests.
Tuition: $150 | Dates: M-Th, June 25-28 | Time: 9am- 12pm | Ages: 4-6/ 7-9 years | Coordinator: James Cline This week-long camp will give young performers a chance to explore a wide variety of scenes from the musical stage. Students will get to experience the excitement of vocal performance and learn the basics of performing on stage. We will emphasize collaborative scenes, including dialogue, duets, trios and ensemble work, as well as giving plenty of opportunities for solo singing. Participants will be involved in a learning-and-doing process in which they weave together the chosen songs to create an original musical revue, integrating their creative abilities while experiencing confidence through self-expression and team-work. Most of all, they will have fun! On Friday we will put on a performance and showcase what we’ve learned for friends and family. Bring water and a snack.

We will meet Monday through Thursday in sections to build on the skills learned in 5th grade. On Friday we will come together for a rehearsal. Bring your lunch to eat before our ice cream party which will be followed by a performance for friends and family.

Geared for students who play saxophone, flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, guitar, violin, viola, cello, bass, and piano . Includes a special coaching session with member of the Brubeck Brothers Quartet on July 2nd. Includes a special coaching session with member of the Brubeck Brothers Quartet on July 2nd.
