Lead Tools Engineer

Each month millions of people RSVP to hundreds of thousands of Meetups. The company and business are growing quickly and we’re currently looking for a Lead Software Engineer to oversee development of our internal tools and systems.

Projects will include building internal applications with an emphasis on usability, data analysis, reporting and working with data engineers on classification and recommendation systems.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Oversee development of all internal tools and systems and the team that builds them

• Dramatically improve the effectiveness of our Community and Trust and Safety teams with distributed systems that enable a scalable response and investigations flow

• Create data analysis and operations tools to provide business and operational insights

• Build out tools to identify and suppress spam and other forms of abuse

What we want from you:

• Experience as an engineering lead and manager

• A good sense of product and appreciation for user experience

• Solid knowledge of full-stack engineering and web API interaction

• Experience with relational databases and understanding of SQL

• Attention to detail and a feeling of pride and ownership over quality

• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
