This is a group for anyone interested in building scalable computing platforms and parallel architectures to process vast amounts of streaming data using Twitter's Storm real-time data processing framework. We also discuss other projects thatcomplement Storm - for example, Kafka, Kestrel, Zookeper.

We share ideas and learn how to do: real-time event processing, real-time analytics, real-time ETL and so on. We get together to exchange ideas, show real world projects and to network.

About Storm:

Storm is a distributed, reliable, fault-tolerant system for processing streams of data. Similar to how Hadoop provides a set of general primitives for doing batch processing, Storm provides a set of general primitives for doing realtime processing. Storm is simple, can be used with any programming language, and is a lot of fun to use! Find more information about Storm at: http://storm-project.net/

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
