The auditor may play in class only with the permission of the instructor and may not register the course with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Auditors may only observe their registered teacher training class in addition to all student activities and concerts. The tuition fee is the same for both participants and auditors. Auditors need to register in a timely fashion in order to reserve a space in the designated class as class size is limited for all classes.
This opportunity is available for teachers who have completed a certain amount of training in the Suzuki method and wish only to observe the teaching of students enrolled in the Suzuki Student Institute, and for teachers who want an informal introduction to this kind of teaching. There is no course work or performing participation, only the observation of the faculty and the students at different levels of advancement. Observers are free to design their own schedule; however, observers may not attend Teacher Training classes or teachers workshops. Any adult who is not enrolled in the teacher workshops or attending with his or her own child or grandchild must enroll as an observer.
Observer fee: $100/day or $400/session
In the event that you decide to cancel your registration, notify the Colorado Suzuki Institute in writing. There is a $100 non-refundable cancellation fee per participant. The payment of all other fees will be returned if email or postal notice of cancellation is received by April 15, 2015.
Due to commitments to faculty and travel plans, applicants who withdraw after April 15, 2015 forfeit all fees. If enrollment is full or a teacher-training course is canceled, all registration and course fees will be refunded.
If your audition to SAA is submitted more than 10 days before the start of the course and your audition is not approved, please forward to us your notification email from SAA and we will issue a refund of tuition.
