Registration & Orientation for Teachers

First Monday of each session for Books 2 and beyond.

All Book 1 courses begin on Sunday mornings.

Registration.Bodo07DSC_0099We are committed to creating the perfect schedule individualized for each student and teacher. In your registration packet, you will be given the daily teacher workshop schedule as well as a list of all possible observation hours. Your trainer will discuss required and optional observations with you during your first teacher workshop class.

*If you are travel delayed and cannot arrive to the Vilar Performing Arts Center stage between 8-9 am, try contacting a friend to pick up your schedule for you.

Registration packets are next available next on Mondays between 12-2 pm in the Vilar Stage.  The first class period on Monday begins at 9 am after the orientation.

Session 1: Book 2 and beyond

  • Monday, June 15
    Orientation: 8:30 AM
    Teacher Class:  9 – 12
    Teacher Class: 1:30 – 3:30
  • Tuesday-Saturday, June 16-20
    Teacher Class: 2 hours per day
    Observation of student classes: possible 4 hours per day

There are 6 possible class periods in a day:
AM Classes: 8:00 -11:20
PM Classes: 1:00 – 4:20

Session 2: Book 2 and beyond

  • Monday, June 22
    Orientation: 8:30 AM
    Teacher Class: 9 – 12
    Teacher Class: 1:30 – 3:30
  • Tuesday-Saturday, June 23-27
    Teacher Class: 2 hours per day
    Observation of student classes: possible 4 hours per day

There are 6 possible class periods in a day:
AM Classes: 8:00 -11:20
PM Classes: 1:00 – 4:20

Evening events for teachers

  • Mondays:
    4- 7 pm orientation, play ins, welcome party
  • Tuesdays:
    8-10 pm Meet and Greet cocktail reception for all teacher workshop participants and faculty
  • Wednesdays:
    7-8 pm Play-Ins with orchestra, all players of string instruments are requested to play in the teachers accompanying orchestras
  • Thursdays:
    7-8 Old Time Jam Session
    8-9 pm Chamber Music of the Rockies Faculty/Students string chamber ensemble concerts
  • Fridays:
    6 pm Pianists as Partners concert
    7 pm Fiddlers Performance at Square Dance
    8 pm Improv Jam Session
  • Saturdays:
    5 -8 pm Celebration Concerts, all students perform this evening in a variety of locations
