on an Orchestral Scale!

In MSCO’s most compelling collaboration yet,
the orchestra teams up with Denver’s story-telling ensemble
The Narrators for a program that explores the narrative qualities
in great music as well as the musical qualities in great stories.
They will have paid attention to how the music affects them, inspires
feelings within them, evokes story lines, but most of all how it relates
to their everyday lives. This side of the Two-Way Street culminates
in their telling of the story they have found in the music, in collaboration
with a performance by MSCO.On the other side of the street, as it
were, The Narrators will fashion their own stories to which MSCO must
react and respond with music that illuminates and completes their
narratives. Three as-yet-unnamed masterworks will accompany the stories
created in The Narrators’ bold, honest style.

While this much of the
program illustrates the Two-Way Street between two genres of
art, and between different kinds of performing artists on stage,
a second Two-Way Street is yet to be explored – the one
joining artists and audience. This final facet of the program
will allow audience members to write their own stories to the
music they hear, and if they wish, will have their stories interpreted
live before the audience that very night by the talented and
insightful Narrators. |

Tickets
purchased within 4 days of concerts will be held at "will call"
for your arrival at the venue. More advanced purchases will be mailed.
As is a standard with on-line purchasing, a $2 fee is added to each
order, not each ticket, to help cover credit processing fees and
allow us to keep ticket prices as low as possible. Senior pricing
is available to those 65 years and up.
