Notifications are at the core of that experience, so we’re looking for someone who is passionate about creating smart, newsy notifications that will be delightful to receive.Your primary role as Product Copywriter will be to work with product managers, designers, and engineers to write copy that enhances new product features. You’ll be involved from concept to execution to announcement — someone who is going to revolutionize the way we use words to engage Meetup members and organizers.
As Product Copywriter, you will:Write newsy, fun and engaging notifications for our iOS and Android apps.
Partner with product teams throughout the product lifecycle with a particular emphasis on copywriting and announcing new features.
Work across departments for the ongoing creation, refinement, and consistency of Meetup’s brand voice.
Contribute to Meetup’s style guide, evolving rules around tone and specific language usage.
Create and implement lightweight processes for ongoing copy development.
Take advantage of Meetup’s usability lab and experimentation-centric culture to push boundaries and test copy variations.
Be a fierce advocate for our members.
5 years’ experience as a content strategist or copywriter, working both independently and cross-functionally.
Samples of great push notifications you’ve written.
Expert writing, editing, and proofreading skills with supreme attention to detail.
A work style that allows you to multi-task, work efficiently under pressure, and maintain deadlines.
A sensitivity to the relationship between copy, information hierarchy, graphic design, and typography.
A passion for designing experiences that support, delight, and engage end users.
