We’re mostly on Macs, but we’re sure you’ll also bring the same stellar support to Windows users too!

You would be responsible for

  • Supporting the technology needs of our NYC-based and remote staff
  • Deploying new laptops and workstations
  • Managing the health of our existing laptops and workstations
  • Providing internal technical support
  • Assisting our Systems Engineers as needed
  • Learning all you can!

You should have experience with

  • Mac OS X and Windows

  • Configuring/troubleshooting email clients (both desktop and mobile)
  • Basic OS X command line tools
  • Networked printers and multifunction copiers
  • A/V experience (e.g. projectors, TVs, streaming video, mics/mixers)
  • Physical components of a computer (both desktop and laptop) and experience upgrading and replacing hardware components
  • Troubleshooting issues with applications and computers face to face with users

In addition, you should be able to lift 50 lb boxes containing computer equipment.

Big plus if you have

  • Some familiarity with the Linux operating system: installing, getting around, and understanding of basic commands
  • Experience with VMware and/or other virtual machine applications/concepts
  • Familiarity with Wikis/Bugzilla/Github
  • Software management applications (e.g. Munki, Chef)
