Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. For the sixth consecutive year, Community First Foundation and FirstBank are partnering to present Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Donors are encouraged to join the movement to “give where you live” and raise millions for Colorado nonprofits.
In addition to raising money, Colorado Gives Day raises awareness of the state’s nonprofit sector, unites Coloradans in a common goal to strengthen the state’s nonprofits, and educates communities on the benefits of online giving by making fundraising simple for nonprofits and easy for donors. Since its inception in 2010, $83 million has been donated on Colorado Gives Day.
The Arapahoe Philharmonic’s goal is to bring in at least $7,500 on Colorado Gives Day this year. Can you help us reach that goal?
We hope to reach that goal through the generosity of our patrons, members, friends and fans. This support helps make our concerts and educational programs possible. It could also help unlock additional funding through incentives and other opportunities.
In addition to direct contributions, a $1 Million Incentive Fund has been established by Community First Foundation and First Bank. Every nonprofit receiving a donation on December 6 receives a portion of the Incentive Fund, which increases the value of every dollar donated.
How can you help?
- Visit our ColoradoGives page (www.coloradogives.org/ArapahoePhil) and make a contribution early. Once you create an account, you can schedule the donation to process on December 6 and count towards our total numbers. On the donation page, under “Donation Type,” make sure to select the “CO GIVES DAY” button so that your contribution processes on December 6.
- Spread the word! Tell your friends and family about Colorado Gives Day and our goals. A contribution in honor of a loved one makes a thoughtful holiday gift. You can even purchase Giving eCards, virtual gift cards that can be used with ColoradoGives.org, that recipients can use to make contributions to any of the 1,500 nonprofits featured on ColoradoGives.org.
