I started to play the cello when I was ten years old. After attending the North Carolina School of the Arts, The Banff Centre and the New England Conservatory of Music, I embarked on a career in music. Having been fascinated with instrument making for many years (my father has built a number of violins, violas and guitars), I pursued my interest in bows.
Bowmaking has allowed me to retain my connection with the music I love. It's also a beautiful art- an elegant tool for the creation of music. I strive to create bows that offer power, responsiveness and beauty.
I also enjoy doing repairs, restorations and rehairs. Most of the time.
Feel free to contact me if you are looking for a violin, viola, cello, bass or an historic bow.
