The Colorado Women’s Chorale
was founded in 2003 and has performed in various states and in
2007 toured to Sydney, Australia. In 2012, Jennifer Ferguson became
its conductor. The CWC has worked with many colleague groups of
metro Denver, including the Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra, the
DU Men’s Choir, DU IdioSingcrasies, the Douglas County Belles
and others. Most recently the women were invited to back up Broadway
star, Tom Wopat in a special number for his concert with the Musica
Sacra Orchestra’s Big Band for Augustana Arts. In 2014,
the CWC will be joining choirs from around the world to perform
at a festival concert featuring the works of contemporary composer,
Gwyneth Walker at New York's Lincoln Center. The Chorale focuses
its music selection on modern works written specifically for women’s
voices, and CWC’s mission is to enrich the community through
culturally and artistically diverse performances.
