Visitor & Short Term Parking

Visitors to campus may park without prior arrangement in the Euclid AutoPark and at parking meters and pay stations located throughout campus. Additional options may be available during your visit depending upon the time of day and whether or not CU is hosting a large event or construction impacts parking. Please check the Facilities Maintenance website for construction updates.

Temporary Permits

Temporary permits are available in daily and weekly time increments. You may purchase them at the PTS Customer Service window. Payments accepted are credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express), checks and cash. Visit our temporary permit page for more information. 

Euclid AutoPark

Open 24/7, Euclid AutoPark (EAP) is located between Broadway and 18th Street (east of the UMC) and is a "Pay by Plate" paystation lot. You will need to have your license plate number to pay at any of the paystations located at each pedestrian exit. 

The EAP parking rate is $2.00 per hour up to three hours, during the hours of 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM. After three hours, the rate is $4.00 per hour. The parking fee is $4.00 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 a.m. each weeknight and all day Saturday and Sunday. EAP paystations accept payment by credit card, coin and Parkmobile (Zone 6334). This parking garage is subject to special event parking arrangements.

Folsom Parking Garage

Open 24/7, Folsom Parking Garage is located off Stadium Drive/Folsom Street and offers "Pay by Plate" pay station visitor parking on the Entry Level (P1)*. You must have your license plate number to pay at any of the pay stations located at each pedestrian exit. 

RATES: The Folsom Parking Garage rate is $2.00 per hour, for the first three hours, then $4.00 for each additional hour. The parking rate is $1.00 per hour Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 a.m. On Saturday and Sunday, payment is $1.00 per hour, at all times.

Folsom Parking Garage pay stations accept payment by credit card, coin and Parkmobile (Zone 6339). This parking garage is subject to special event parking arrangements. View the Folsom Parking Garage location map.

*Permit holder parking is located on levels P2 and P3. You must have a lot 391 permit to park in the permitted areas.

Meters

Basics

• The hourly rate at grey meters is $1.75 payable from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., seven days a week.
• The maximum time available on a meter varies. A sticker on each meter lists the maximum time allowed.
• Most meters accept coin and meter debit card payments. Some of our newer meters accept credit and debit cards but not meter debit cards. (See below for a list of campus meters and pay stations that accept meter debit cards.)
• Meter debit cards, sold in $50 and $100 increments, are available in the PTS business office. Unused time paid with a meter debit card can be credited back to the meter debit card at single meters only.
• Please report meter problems to us at 303-492-7384, and please be aware that parking at a malfunctioning meter is a parking violation on our campus.

Locations Where Meter Debit Card Payment is Accepted

• All Red Service Meters on main and east campus
• Gray meters located in 168, 261, 305, 423, 465
• East campus meters in 564, 577, 579, 587

Accessibility Meters

Blue meters are for persons with disabilities. A state issued disability license plate or placard must be displayed. The rate is $1.75 per hour, and the meters must be paid from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., seven days a week.

Red Service Meters

Red meters are for service and delivery parking. While visitors may park at red service meters, at $3.50 per hour, they are intended to assure quick turnover. Service meters must be paid 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

Parking Payment Machines

• The parking pay station rate is $1.75 per hour.
• All pay stations accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express), meter debit cards, and coins. Sorry, meter debit cards cannot be credited with unused time at pay stations.
• Please refer to signs on pay station or at lot entrance for hours of enforcement.
• Please report pay station problems to us at 303-492-7384. We are happy to assist. 

Pay-by-Phone Parking (Parkmobile)

Using Parkmobile allows you to pay for parking, at Parkmobile enabled pay stations, by phone. When using Parkmobile you choose how long you want to park and pay for that amount of time. When the expiration time approaches, you can receive a text alert allowing you to extend your time (within the maximum time limit for the lot.) Advantages include:

• Decreased chance of parking fines with text message expiration reminders sent to your cell phone.
• A new smart phone app which enables all of the capabilities of the service with the touch of a button.
• Parking receipts via email/text message.
• Corporate accounts: Parkmobile offers the option to create corporate accounts with an unlimited number of parkers and the ability to pre-pay in denominations available for departmental use.
• A $.35 transaction fee will apply for each transaction.

Nights and Weekends

• Pay gray and blue meters from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. seven days per week.
• Refer to signs on pay stations or at lot entrances for the hours a pay station requires payment. Typically pay stations require $4.00 payment nights and weekends.
• AM/PM permits may be used as early as 3 p.m. and as late as 10 a.m. on weekdays. They are also valid all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Reciprocal Parking
