A fun place to learn about Colorado charities and donate online.

Connect with nonprofits, find out about the good work they do, and learn why they need your help.

Allison Winn, Founder of the Stink Bug Project

Alli founded The Stink Bug Project, a program of Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation, in 2010. The nonprofit pairs trained dogs from the Prison Trained K-9 Program at Colorado Correctional Industries with families who have a seriously ill child. Finding the perfect best friend can make a huge difference in recovery. In Alli’s case, her puppy, Coco, helped crush her Stink Bug (feelings of sickness and sadness). Learn more about The Stink Bug Project and how companion dogs can lower stress for patients and caregivers.

A Message from Colorado Lt. Governor Donna Lynne

Welcome to Kids for ColoradoGives — a great place to introduce your children and grandchildren to the joy of charitable giving!

In this friendly and welcoming space, good things begin. Kids connect with Colorado nonprofits and learn about the important work they do to make our lives better.

Kids for ColoradoGives is the only Colorado-based giving program that offers a real-world giving experience in a trusted online environment. That’s because it is a program of Community First Foundation and powered by ColoradoGives.org. We believe it has the power to inspire a lifetime of charitable giving.

Giving Makes Us Happier

Research has shown that spending money on ourselves does not make us happier. But a Harvard Business School study shows that giving to others does! The Harvard researchers write: "Happier people give more and giving makes people happier, such that happiness and giving may operate in a positive feedback loop."

Other studies have shown that people experience pleasure when they see money go to charity - even if this money isn't their own! People experience the most pleasure, however, when they give directly to charity themselves.

The moral of the story? Giving makes you feel great!
