For 22 consecutive days (March 17 -- April 7), a Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) cellist performed Albinoni's Adagio at a variety of locations across Toronto.
In the book The Cellist of Sarajevo, a lone cellist carries his instrument into the cratered war-torn street to perform Albinoni's Adagio for 22 days to honour 22 people killed waiting in line to buy bread. The Toronto Public Library, in partnership with the TSO, brought these performances to life.
If you didn't get a chance to see the cellist, watch our video which highlights these incredible performances. If you did come out to a performance, watch the video and experience the magic all over again. http://keeptorontoreading.ca
