Here’s a weird statement. I’ll never stop being surprised about how much I love shooting weddings. Just when I think I may have hit a wall I land at a wedding like Jackie and Pete’s where the couple, the family, and the rest of the wedding guests connect with me on a level that makes me feel like a part of the group. The connection reinvigorates my spirit, my eye, and my desire for more, more experiences, more story telling images, and more weddings to photograph.
These kinds of weddings are right up my alley. Small. Intimate. Easy going. Throw in some beautiful soft light and you get a recipe for a magazine worthy wedding. Sean and Cailin had a wonderfully easy going wedding at the Lyons Farmette on a beautiful Monday afternoon. The atmosphere was light and airy and I hope the photos reflect that…and if you’re looking for a venue look no further than the Lyons Farmette it was my first time photographing there and I’m looking forward to the next opportunity. Ashley and Brian got really high at their Colorado wedding…like 11,500ft high. They were married at the top of A-basin a little ski resort in the rockies that is usually the first ski resort to open the season in Colorado and the last to close. Like a lot of people that live in Colorado Ashley and Brian were originally from other places around the country so when friends and family came to their wedding the guests got to experience a true mountain top wedding.
