If you have ever designed a website with Divi by Elegant Themes, you will know that it is an interesting combination of a basic theme framework and a full-featured theme. For those of us who like to control every pixel, it can seem frustrating at times. It has a mind of it’s own and does not always like to bend to the will of the designer! On the other hand, as a web designer focused entirely on not-for-profit organizations, often with limited budgets, Divi gave me a tool that was fairly simple to teach my clients and gave them freedom to experiment without the help of an expensive designer. All too often, however, it led to the phone ringing with a frustrated client on the other end.
Divi 3.0 is great for not-for-profit organizations
The new Divi 3.0 launched two days ago. It looks fantastic! What bothers my clients to most about almost all wordpress themes? The back and forth between the dashboard and the front end. Divi promises to end that frustration with a theme that allows for front-end editing AND the ability to create an almost unlimited number of page layouts. unlike some of the out-of-the-box web builders like wix and squarespace, Divi is still an open framework able to integrate with all wordpress plugins and a huge development community for support.
Check out the Divi theme demo and see for yourself.
Have you used Divi 3.0 yet? What do you think? I’d love to hear your comments .
