Rates are determined by a number of factors including the ensemble you choose, performance length, and travel fees for outside the Denver metro area. Most clients spend $550 – $800 for a social occasion and $600 – $1,200 for a wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Solo flute starts at $195 for local wedding ceremonies. I also offer a 10% military discount to honor those currently serving in the armed forces.

Will you play overtime if needed?
We will play overtime upon mutual agreement providing that we have no commitments elsewhere. If you believe in advance that you may need us to play longer, you can make arrangements with us for possible overtime. Our overtime rate is the same as our hourly rate for social occasions, and will be charged in fifteen minute increments.
Does the deposit go towards the total bill, or just to book you?
The deposit is a non-refundable fee of one half the total bill that will be applied towards the total bill. I accept personal checks, bank transfers, and credit card payments (a fee applies for credit cards). Once I receive your deposit along with the signed performance agreement, the musician(s) will be reserved for the day and time of your event.
When is the remaining balance due?
The remaining balance is due one week before our performance.
Do you play outdoor functions?
Yes. All instruments are suitable for outdoor functions. We do require shelter from possible rain such as a canopy or an alternate indoor location. Depending on the time of year and instruments, stringed instruments may need to be sheltered from direct sunlight by either natural shade or a tent. Stringed instruments must also be protected from temperature extremes (below 55 or above 95).
Will the music be loud enough?
Yes. Our instruments are very resonant and our sound carries surprisingly well, even in outdoor spaces. For large events or in settings with lots of ambient noise, I routinely provide amplification at no additional charge.
Do you travel outside the Denver and Boulder Colorado metro area?
Yes. We travel to Colorado Springs, Fort Collins and Colorado mountain locations including Vail, Breckenridge, Estes Park and more. When I give you a quote for your wedding or event music it will always include travel costs.
How do the musicians dress?
We will always dress and present ourselves professionally and in keeping with the atmosphere of your event.
Do the ceremony musicians come to the wedding rehearsal?
We are available to come to the wedding rehearsal for an extra fee that will be included in the performance agreement, however it is very rare that we are contracted for a rehearsal. We are experienced with weddings and know how to time the music to fit your ceremony. I also speak with your wedding coordinator, the site manager, and/or your officiant before the wedding ceremony to iron out the ceremony details and cues.
Will you perform with other musicians, or only your musicians?
I will perform with any other musicians as long as they make arrangements for the music with me at least a month in advance and arrange to rehearse with me before your wedding or event.
How does the music selection process work?
You can choose your level of involvement in selecting music. Once I get a feel for the type of music that you want, I can create a personalized set list for your wedding or event. If we are playing for your wedding ceremony, you will receive additional guidance and help in selecting your processional and recessional songs at our consultation.
What is your break policy?
We will need one ten minute break every hour for performances two hours or longer.
Will the musicians need to be fed at the reception?
Food is not necessary, but for longer performances it is welcome.
Are there any upcoming performances where we could see you play live?
I mostly perform at private events and weddings, however, I do occasionally have a public performance which you are welcome to attend. I will announce these performances on my blog and list them as “public” on my calender. Before you book, you are welcome to join me for a complimentary personal music consultation where you can hear me play live music samples.
Do you take special song requests?
I love taking special requests for music that is beyond our repertoire and can accommodate most requests if given at least one month’s notice. I also enjoy making custom music arrangements if needed. There may be a charge for special music requests.
Should I tip the musicians?
We frequently receive tips but it is not standard practice to tip the musicians. If a performance is especially enjoyed, tips are certainly welcome.
