Playonair Deluxe Violin Shoulder Rest
REVIEWED BY: Teacher, NA YANG
reviewed on: 11/23/2016
Not working
I bought this shoulder rest, was like $40, but does not hold on the violin, it slips easily. And the rubber fell on the holder, became impossible to use. I defiantly not recommending this shoulderrest. I am a teacher for thirty years.
Virtuoso Wrist Practice Aid - fits 4/4 - 1/2 size
REVIEWED BY: Student, Paige Kellog

so so
Not very comfortable. I gave it 2 star's because it's a pretty good idea but I think there are better choices for wrist helpers out there. Mine was just uncomfortable, and it didn't work very well for me. Maybe someone else it would be better suited. Im an older lady and it was rough on my skin. My teacher is letting me use the rascal wrist helper and I prefer that on so far.
Peak SMS-32 Flat Panel Desk Music Stand
REVIEWED BY: Teacher, Anonymous
reviewed on: 11/22/2016
My favorite stand
I bought each of my kids this stand for Christmas a year or two ago, and I like them so much I tend to borrow them frequently! I like it more than my studio stands because the desk is smooth; no rivets to work around when marking music. It is taller than the studio stands I use, and can be adjusted even shorter. If I could roll back the hands of time, I would have purchased a batch of these rather than the standard stands I bought for use with my students. These are sturdy, stable, easy to assemble, and they fold nicely into their bags so as not to take up floor space. I'm buying another one of these for myself because I want to keep one in our vehicle.
Tote Bag - Extra Large Size - Black with Violins Design
REVIEWED BY: Student, JENNIPHER GLASSBURN
reviewed on: 11/21/2016
Not the Greatest
I ordered this bag so I could carry all of the things I need. First, the shape of the bag is not like that in the picture. It has sloping sides ( \_/ ) rather than the parallel sides ( |_| ) shown in the picture. Second, the handles are very short. I was hoping to put it on my shoulder to have a free hand, but I have to carry it. As an upcoming music student, I have a lot of stuff to carry. I carry my viola on my back, and wish to carry everything else I need in a bag. This bag gets very heavy, very fast. Not the greatest, but if you don't carry a lot of equipment and music, this bag would do a great job.
Everest EZ Viola Shoulder Rest
REVIEWED BY: Student, RONALD SHARPE
reviewed on: 11/21/2016
Best shoulder rest for the money
I haven't tried literally every shoulder rest, but I've tried a lot of them, and the Everrest—both violin and viola, I've use them both, are really the best, and they're actually lower priced than many others. Very comfortable and doesn't fall off the instrument like so many others. Highly recommended.
SHAR Mini Clip-On Tuner
REVIEWED BY: Teacher, BRIANA LECLAIRE
reviewed on: 11/14/2016
Great cello tuner - buy a bunch.
My cello students clip it to the bridge and just have to remember to keep it set to "Chro." I keep one clipped to my studio stand, one clipped to my home stand, and one in the small pouch of stuff I take onstage: rosin, cloth, Black Hole, spare strings, and this tuner.
Viva La Musica Diamond Violin Shoulder Rest Light
REVIEWED BY: SHAUN HUANG
reviewed on: 11/12/2016
BEST
My posture is bad, and tend to be a little "animated", so the shoulder rests I've had before always seem to shift/slide or get out of position. Brought my violin to Shar, and Tereza (as a customer/consumer, I would say that she provides ABSOLUTELY the best service in any industry) laid out many options. She offered opinions, but as usual gave me time to try each one out in their demo room. Obviously eventually settled on this one. Not only is this thing beautiful (grained wood: light or dark options to match your instrument), it has so many different angles and positions you could adjust. Once I got settled in, I've found it stayed securely in every way no matter how much I varied position/pressure while playing. It is light and compact. The grips/legs an be folded down if there there is not much room in your case.
Dresden Boxwood Violin Chinrest - Medium Plate
REVIEWED BY: ELCHONON MANNE

Great chin rest
After trying several chinrests this is the one I chose for my violin. It is comfortable for me, it looks nice and it is high quality. It is good for players who want their chin lower.
Cradle with KorfkerRest
REVIEWED BY: HOLLY MULCAHY
reviewed on: 10/27/2016
good fit
I like this rest better than just the Korfker Rest alone. This was very stable, allowed for great tone and was easy to fit. I found the comfort greater than the regular rest as well.
Hill Violin Preparation Cleaner and Polish - 1 ounce bottles
REVIEWED BY: Parent, YVONNE WILDER
reviewed on: 10/22/2016
Makes older instruments shine like new
After seeing my daughter's violin teacher transform her well-used violin into a new-looking instrument, we purchased our own bottle of Hill's Polish and have used it on our violin, cello and mandolin. It is a cleaner and a polish and really makes the finish shine. Use sparingly and in a well-ventilated room.
