TEACHINGClayton's ability to clearly explain technical concepts has developed over his many years of education and professional experience, but also through the many wonderful Chamber Music coaches that he has worked with, and the many Summer Festivals and Master Classes that he has participated in. In addition, his study of Jazz Double Bass has provided him with a solid working foundation in Jazz music theory and improvisation. Clayton utilizes what he has learned from his teachers and experiences, and uses many different perspectives, teaching methodologies, and concepts as "tools in his toolbox" to effectively teach his students regardless of age, level, or style of learning.
