WELCOME TO DR. VAUGHN'S CELLO STUDIO!

Clayton is an experienced teacher who has taught students of all ages, levels and abilities. His unmistakable passion for music, performance and teaching has motivated him to share, inspire and pass that love of music on to his students. He understands that discovering excitement for music is the critical ingredient for musical development, and also teaches his students important practice tools to become diligent in their own practice. With these tools, his students can further develop their own abilities to become the best musicians they can be. 

Clayton provides a positive and encouraging environment for his students, and is committed to his student's development and learning process. Clayton also tries to instill a good work ethic in his students, and leads by example by continually striving to expand his own knowledge of technique, performance and teaching.

Whether you are picking up a cello for the first time, preparing to enter the professional world, or revisiting a childhood hobby, Clayton looks forward to being a part of your musical journey. Together you will explore the wondrous world of cello technique, musicality, music theory, improvisation and body awareness.
